How to I list my astronomy website for free?
You'll need a graphic to upload and I'll only allow graphics that are no more that 3,000 square pixels (e.g. 30x100, 50x20, etc.) To get the free link:
1. Click on a spot on the grid. That will take you to the "buy" form
2. Fill out the form
3. Click on the PayPal icon. You need to do this to submit the form. YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED ANYTHING.
4. You will be redirected to the PayPal site.
5. STOP. You do not need to pay anything
6. Once a day, I will approve links/graphics so long as the are not commercial. Commercial links WILL require payment.
If it's free, then why all the PayPal stuff? Because it's not free for everyone. Once a site is submitted I manually approve or reject the site. If it's a commercial site, I verify payment. Hurry and grab a primo spot before they're all gone. If you run into problems or need a hand, send a note via the Contact Us link.
This seems fishy. What if I don't trust you about not having to pay?
You are more than welcome e-mail me directly with your logo/graphic and site information and I'll add it manually when I get a chance. Simply provide all of the details that are listed on the submission form.
What size should my graphic be?
Graphics cannot exceed 5,000 square pixels. The best looking graphics are the ones that are square or nearly square, so I'd recommend using a 70x70 pixel graphic. Don't forget, a 70x70 pixel graphic gets entered into the submission form as 7x7. The only requirement is that the graphic be evenly divisible by 10. For example, you cannot upload a graphic that is 65x30. You either need to make it 60x30 or 70x30. The submission form only accepts whole numbers.
I'm having trouble submitting my graphic and link. What do I do?
First, don't let it frustrate you. Drop me an e-mail and I'll give you a hand. The software isn't perfect and we're working on fixing it's quirks.
It keeps telling me that my graphic is overlapping. What do I do?
We are looking into the problem of placement. The workaround is to select a section that has a lot of open, available space. Then send a message via the Contact Us form letting us know where you'd like it positioned.
Why does it tell me "You need to scale your image to match the area you are about to purchase. Width to 1000 px, height - 1000 px"? when i try to upload a 100x100 image?
1 square in the grid equals to 100 pixels. So to upload a 100x100 image, you need to enter the width as 10 and the height as 10.
How long will the site graphic and link be up?
As long as the Sky Insight website is running. There is no timelimit imposed.

I submitted my site (and graphic) but it doesn't show up. Why?
Two possible reasons:
1. I haven't approved it yet. I have to manually review the submission and approve it. I will be checking once a day, so b patient.
2. There was a problem with your submission (e.g. graphic too large) and I wasn't able to contact you about it.
Why do I need to provide an e-mail address?
In case I need to contact you regard the listing. You can put in a fake e-mail address but if I have a problem and need to contact you and can't, I'll be forced to delete the listing. Sky Insight is NOT collecting e-mail addresses for the purpose of spamming.
This is cool. How do I find out about other new features or services on the Sky Insight website?

Why didn't my graphics/logo go exactly where I selected?
Sky Insight reserves the right to make minor position adjustments to avoid unusable spaces on the grid.
